Age they are: Older than Creation. Er, seven millennia?
Type of being: Type being Seraphim, rank being Archangel, but he is usually referred to as an Archangel.
Personality: He's generally open and friendly. He's polite, even to demons, as long as they're willing to return the favour; sometimes this leads them to underestimate him, which is too bad for them as he may be nice but, as an Archangel and Michael's second in command, he can fight very well if he needs to. He enjoys life's little pleasures like good food and wine, and books (he has a secret love for Jane Austen's books, which only Uriel is aware of). Has a bit of backstory, with Lucifer (for more details, check out the character LJ).
He can seem rather absent-minded or clueless since he hasn't been on Earth in about a century. He enjoys art and music, although he himself isn't very good at those; although enthusiastic enough, he lacks talent, to put it mildly. He's also a little enthusiastic about electronics, although again, he doesn't know know much about them, although in this case he learns quickly.
He also loves nature, like the feel of sun or wind or rain on his skin, the softness of grass etc, although he dislikes flying in the rain since his wings take some time to dry out. Oh, and he absolutely loves cats. He loves most animals, but cats are his favourite. Currently he has two - Earl Grey and Ta-Miu.
Hair colour: Black
Texture: Soft, slightly wavy
Length: Slightly longer than in the picture; it would probably skim his jaw. Eye colour: A sort of deep, dark blue. Skin colour: Fair, as can be seen from the picture.
Height: Tall-ish.
Build: Slender, with the sort of muscles that aren't immediately obvious, but when flexed, or when you feel them, you know he's pretty b.
Accessories: Large, beautiful white wings that have a mother-of-pearl sheen; they seem slighly bluish in certain lighting.
Oh yes, I forgot to mention this – when he turned up, he had his horn hanging by his side. It’s large and white, with gold around the rim, and twining patterns on that gold rim; it looks more like an Elvish horn from the LOTR movies. These days it's generally in his room.
Outfit: When he arrives a thin white robe (with abovementioned horn hanging from the belt). Later he changes it to dark blue jeans/black trousers (usually dark blue jeans) and a white shirt; depending on his mood, activity/occasion and the weather, it can be a plain T-shirt (with perhaps a black windbreaker if it's cold out) or one of those white button-down shirts. Usually barefoot, but if need be he may wear black sneakers. Yes, I know I said he hasn't been on Earth in a century, but from looking around he's figured out what people wear, and he likes it. Sometimes he still wears robes; his default attire will be jeans and if he's wearing robes I'll say so.
Anything else?: As I said, there is a teensy, almost irrelevant bit of backstory between him and Lucifer, at http://cattygabriel.livejournal.com/1360.html#cutid1 (http://cattygabriel.livejournal.com/1360.html#cutid1), which is why he's pretty tolerant of demons, and why he, more so then other angels, has this deep, gripping fear of Falling (and why he's sensitive about people touching his wings - DO NOT TOUCH THE WINGS). It's also why an angel Falling, even after all this time, never fails to pain him, although he rarely shows it. Other than that, not much, really. Relationships: Close to the archangels and closest to Michael (will eventually become his lover); friendly towards Aziraphale. Protective of them. Also friendly with both versions of Loki, Ishtar, and generally most of the inhabitants.Suspicious of Crowley and Beelzebub.
In addition to the usual angelic powers, Gabriel can:
- recognise any angel or demon. He is sensitive to their auras, which is why he can tell from Aziraphale's aura that he's been spending a lot of time with a demon. - travel to other realms more easily - enter Hell and demand safe passage and to be brought before Lucifer if he has a message to deliver -can find people easily if he needs to for Official Business However, if the person, like Adam or one of the Crowns, is exceptionally powerful they may be able to hide form him from a while.
Character description: Tweedish, fussy, bookish, sweet yet a little bastardy angel. Loves making desserts (not secretly) and singing karaoke (secretly). Is slowly revealing himself to have ridiculously horrible self-esteem.
He looks pretty much exactly like (http://linnpuzzle.livejournal.com/profile)linnpuzzle (http://linnpuzzle.livejournal.com/) draws him, btw - not, you know, femmy, or old, or fat, or any of that. Upper end of the healthy weight range for his height.
In addition to the usual angelic powers, Aziraphale can: - most knowledgeable angel about Earth and Hell, but in return the weakest angel with the most supervision - most familiar with the other gods/monsters/etc. - knows every language except Welsh, and his Chinese is lacking - can use a sword fairly well - can hold his alcohol better than the others (without miracling it out of his blood)
Character description: Very tall, muscular, well-defined look with curly golden-blond hair and dark, dark blue eyes. (Sort of like Aziraphale if the latter were on steroids). Big boyish grin when he's happy.
On the outside, Michael is confident and charismatic with a pinch of smite-happy. On the inside, he's insecure like crazy and a bit neurotic. He can never sit still. He always, always, has his sword with him. And he hates spicy foods.
In addition to the usual angelic powers, Michael can: - Michael is the Warrior, and thus he is the quintessential butt-kicker. He's the best at fighting, and it doesn't take him long at all to figure out how to use new weaponry. - Also, no supervision required. He reports to God and that's it. - He knows the most about demons. For example, upon Descending he not only knew how many demons were at the Manor, but which ones they were and how to best kill them. However, he knows next to nothing about entities of other pantheons and humans. - He's terrible at healing himself or others. Not only is it a Healer's job to Heal, but also Michael doesn't really feel pain unless it would be enough to knock another angel unconscious. Very, very high pain tolerance. - On paper, he is the most powerful angel - he is strong enough to, when the End comes, take on Satan one on one after all. However, does that power apply to fighting other angels and gods? Hopefully he won't have to find out.
Actual Age: Existed at least since the first Rebellion. Been on Earth for ~3,000 years altogether, including his time as a Watcher (~400 years). Really Really Old.
Entity: Demon
Build: Wiry, rather tougher than he looks.
Appearance: A tall (6'2") angular man, with straight, mousy brown hair and blue eyes. His clothes tend to be worn, but well-pressed and neat. (Currently covered in lots of fur, due to renting a room from a man who fostered stray cats. Cats who think scarves and wool coats are great sleeping places. It's a good thing demons probably can't get allergies.) Prefers to dress smart casual; think blazers, sweaters.
In his true form, his wings are slate grey, and the flight feathers are black-tipped. They are short and broad, adapted for long-distance gliding rather than maneuverability or speed. Appears much more youthful and androgynous than his preferred human form.
The model in most of the usericons is a good deal younger than Barnaby should appear (Marcel Castenmiller is twenty-three and looks about seventeen), but captures his wary air.
Other: His current earthly possessions are listed here (http://misterbkeele.livejournal.com/1642.html).
In addition to the usual demonic powers, Baraq can: - Experience with gods and entities of other faiths. - Somewhat antiquated knowledge of astronomy and celestial navigation. - Very good at concealing his aura/shutting off his sense of other auras. The former is not a perfect mastery: angels and demons may still sense him, especially if they know what they're looking for. More successful with non-Judeo-Christian entities. - Moderate experience with hand-to-hand combat. Adequate experience with swordplay, but ill-trained. - Moderate knowledge of world languages.
Character description: (Full) Name: Loki Laufeyson Nickname(s) IC: Loki Lyesmith What age they look: around 30 Age they are: 1.200 Type of being: God Personality: mischievous, spontaneous, He's clever, but tends not to think things through completely. Hair colour: red Texture: straight Length: very short Eye colour: dark grey Height: He's tall by human standards, but the shortest of the Norse gods. Build: again lighter than the other Norse gods, not that that's saying much Accessories: occasionally seen with a pack of playing cards A favourite outfit: jeans and a t-shirt or a knit pullover, Odin might be the only one able to convince him of wearing a tie. Anything else? At the beginning of the game he looks very pale and thin due to spending a long time in hospital. This won’t last very long, though. Short history: About three years ago he played a trick on Czernobog, which involved getting the other god drunk, drugged and angry. In return Czernobog gave him leukaemia, but messed up the magic. No god was able to undo it and Loki was been forced to put up with the human treatment by a specialist in London. After going through chemotherapy and a bone marrow transplant he is now cured, but still has the occasional check up and is secretly very worried that the cancer will return. The transplant also means that his blood is no longer the same he exchanged with Odin and he worries that that has annulled their blood brother status.
Relationships: Blood brothers with Odin, father of Sleipnir, has sort of adopted Freki, because he reminds him of Fenrir, … Up to what characters we get other than that.
Loki can: - shapechange at will Into any animal he is familiar enough with to picture the whole body of clearly. The more familiar the animal, the easier the change. Too many changes will exhaust him. - manipulate minds It’s no magical power, though, he’s simply very convincing or confusing when he wants to be. - feel/hear prayers, if they are directed at him personally - feel and identify supernatural activity The strength of the activity affects how long afterwards it can be felt. In case of supernatural activity of Norse origin he might be able to identify the caster. This is also possible with other supernaturals he is very familiar with/has seen casting this before. - sense other supernatural beings He can sense other supernatural beings to the extent that he knows they're supernatural. If he has met a being from the same religion before, he can notice a similarity and thus possibly identify the pantheon. He can also vaguely feel power levels. - know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there He’s had to learn them, though and can’t write the older ones. - percieve Presence as some vaguely uncomfortable part of the feeling of a supernatural This allows him to differentiate between angels and demons, though he doesn’t know what the feeling actually is.
Loki can not: - heal wounds and illnesses - go without food, drink and sleep - go without using the toilet - inspire divine ecstasy - fly in a vacuum - summon hellfire - bless objects - alter objects - summon objects - create objects out of thin air - raise the dead - self-heal - remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human - wish people away - read minds - see in the dark (unless his current shape can) - not get blinded by very bright light - set wards - see auras - enter heaven - enter hell - enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion - communicate with heaven - communicate with hell - communicate with realms of other religions - know occult languages (He could learn them, if someone were to teach him, though.) - write the heavenly language( He could learn it, if someone were to teach him and had a lot of patience or he had a book to teach him, though.) - have the power of Creation - create energy shields - possess other beings
Additionally Loki can: - control fire (even to a very limited extent hellfire), if it isn’t already controlled by somebody else. He will lose control if he gets distracted, the fire is too big or he tires. - survive a lot of damage that might kill a human. Like all Norse gods he’s pretty tough. If a human would have no chance to survive at all, though, Loki doesn’t either.
(Full) Name: The Sphinx Nickname(s) IC: Leandra Papadopoulos What age they look: Unspecific. Maybe in her late twenties? What age they are: Somewhat younger than most of the other Greek gods, but not by too much. Type of being: Monster/Goddess Personality: Enigmatic, playful, cruel and quick tempered, but still loyal to her friends. Hair: Long, dark, almost always kept up and out of the way in a hair-do. Eye colour: Brown Height and build: She’s not too tall, and is slender and strong. Accessories: Some jewellery. She may occasionally carry a bone around, though, if she wants to be scary. A favourite outfit: Anything that looks elegant and is golden or red. Anything else? Being a shape shifter, the Sphinx also has other forms. In her sphinx form she has the head of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle. Her coloration is yellow/brown. Her eagle shape resembles the golden eagle. Her lioness shape is slightly bigger than the average lioness, but not otherwise specific. She always retains her human-like eyes, no matter what shape she is in. Short history: Born into a family of monster-like gods, she was relatively happy until her grandfather Typhon plotted the overthrow Zeus. Typhon was imprisoned, and the rest of the monsters were left to be killed by various heroes. Not too keen on dying, the Sphinx fled her hero rather that staying to fight. She’s been travelling around Africa and Europe ever since, trying to avoid the Olympian gods and any other would-be heroes. Lately she has been trying to figure out how to free Typhon, her only still living relative, but she has had no luck so far.
Relationships: Member of the really large family of Greek gods.
The Sphinx can: -shapechange at will She can only change shape from her sphinx shape to human, eagle, or lion shape and back again. She can’t go directly from one shape to another, though. Her eyes also always remain the same, and do not grand her any altered vision. - manipulate minds Not as a supernatural power, but she tends to try to mislead people with riddles, because she finds it fun. - self-heal unless they are very badly injured This is more like regeneration that is quicker than normal, and the Sphinx has no conscious control over it. - feel and identify supernatural activity She can sense it, in large quantities, but not really tell what it is, or even tell it's actually supernatural activity she's sensing. - sense other supernatural beings She can tell whether someone is mortal or not, but not really anything beyond that. - know human languages, if they have learned them - know occult languages, if she has learned them (I haven’t decided if she actually has.)
The Sphinx can not: - heal wounds and illnesses - go without food, drink and sleep infinitely - go without using the toilet - inspire divine ecstasy - fly in a vacuum - bless objects - alter objects - summon their own possessions - create objects out of thin air - raise the dead - wish people away - feel/hear prayers, if they are directed to them/in their jurisdiction - read minds - see in the dark better than humans - not get blinded by very bright light - set wards - see auras - enter heaven - communicate with heaven - communicate with realms of other religions - write the heavenly language - perceive Presence to different degrees depending on individual ability/sensitivity - create energy shields - possess other beings - summon hellfire - enter hell - enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion - communicate with hell - use heavenly alphabet to create things (= this cannot be done at all) - have the power of creation - use the Norse rune-magic
Additionally the Sphinx can: - Not get killed despite damage that would kill a human Like all monsters, she’s tough. - resist non-lethal damage and illness better than a human/animal would - be stronger than her human/animal shape would suggest. ()
Nickname(s) IC: Usually, any synonym of the word 'red'. She has in the past gone by Ruby and Scarlett, and will answer to either of these.
What age they look: Mid-20's
Age they are: As old as conflict
Type of being: Apocalyptic Personification AKA Horse Person
Personality: Wr likes to seek out conflict, and encourage it wherever possible. She's very violent, and easily provoked, and has scarily nifty fighting skills. She takes very little seriously, but when she does, you know it's serious. Normally she's just a tease, winding up the men after the hot red read, but she'll make an exception for some people (kindred spirits, you might say). She loves whiskey and her motor bike. She is also very fond of her weapon collection.
Hair colour: Auburn
Texture: Wavy, but if she wants it to be straight, it will be.
Length: A bit shorter than waist length
Eye colour: Orange
Height: 5'11"
Build: Curvy, but very fit.
Accessories: Her sword, wrist and hip knives, a random assortment of guns, possibly a grenade or two.
A favourite outfit: Anything red, tight, and sexy. Often leather. Red lipstick is a must. Anything else? ... Watch out when she gets PMS? *grin*
Short history: War isn't affected by much, so after the Apocalypse, she continued doing what she's always been doing. And one day, her job search led her to Tadfield Manor.
Relationships: Past relationship with Famine. Wary of the Them, if and when they turn up, though there's a possibility that she and Pepper could find more in common than their past history, if we get a Pepper. Respectful of Death; doesn't care much for angels and demons, especially the sissy ones.
War can: - feel and identify fighting and conflict. She has a permanent connection to it in the back of her mind. As established, if she neglects her duties/purpose, she can be 'dragged' somewhere through the ether to go avert peace. When this happens, she gets a kind of "free pass" to slingshot herself back. - feel and identify supernatural activity - depending how closely it tallies to her sphere of activity and how well she knows the originator, she may be able to identify them specifically or generally. - sense other supernatural beings, to the extent that she knows they are supernatural and also divide them into gods/angels/demons/monsters. She has a rough idea of power levels. - know human languages that are or were in use in countries when she lived there - has a certain resistance to injury, though this is partly down to leet defensive skills - as the entity/'idea', War will not die (unless all conflict is eradicated) - her personification has a certain amount of invulverability, partly down to superfast reactions - When she is working, the personification is as invulnerable as the entity/idea is.
War can not: - shapechange at will - manipulate minds (except by driving men to blind lust then leaving them to a barfight...) - feel/hear prayers - heal wounds and illnesses - go without food, drink and sleep - go without using the toilet - inspire divine ecstasy - fly in a vacuum - summon hellfire - bless objects - alter objects - summon objects - create objects out of thin air - raise the dead - self-heal - wish people away - read minds - see in the dark (unless wearing appropriate tech) - not get blinded by very bright light - set wards - see auras - enter heaven - enter hell - enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion - communicate with heaven - communicate with hell - communicate with realms of other religions - know occult languages - write the heavenly language - have the power of Creation - create energy shields - possess other beings (unless they are elephants or similar used in war... oh, you mean possess as in inhabit rather than own. She probably can't do that, even with elephants.)
Additionally War can: - fight in any style ever mastered, and a few that aren't yet invented - use any weapon ever invented - survive a lot of damage that might kill a human. ()
Name: Ishtar Title/ Aliases: Lady of Nineveh, courtesan of the gods Motto: sex, dugs and rock'n'roll HP/Att/Def: mid/low/high Occupation: goddess of prostitution. Madam. Residences: Turkey, Nevadah, Amsterdam, London Relationships: Single (with many friends with benefits). She's always looking for Mr Right-Now (or Ms Right-Now) but not for anything serious. She has commitment issues because her first husband didn't mourn her when she went into the underworld, so when she got out she let demons drag him into hell. And then there was Gilgamesh (who she wanted to marry) he said no, then killed her bull. No really.
Ishtar can: - Procure, mix, blend and create (by hand and using her pet international drugs consortium) almost any drug/medical preparation known to man or god. - Ingest, imbibe or inhale vast quantities of noxious substances (alcohol, tobacco, drugs, poison) feeling all the short and mid term effects (highs, sleepiness, hyperactivity, paranoia, hangovers, slight feelings of withdrawal) without any permanent harm to her body. - recover relatively quickly (compared with a human) from physical injury. - feel and identify supernatural activity. She tends to be able to identify areas of power, and religious origins rather than individual identities and powers. - sense other supernatural beings as distinct from mortals. She can identify power levels but does not divide them into gods/angels/demons/monsters. - control people and supernatural beings/ implant suggestions (depending on their power levels) through a combination of sex appeal and pheremones - Wander happily in and out of the realms of most ancient middle-eastern religions - speak Akkadian, Sumerian, Babylonian, Hittite, Latin, Arabic, Hebrew and enough in most modern European languages to be able to order a drink. - exist perfectly happily in the mortal world. Type of being: Anthropomorphic personification Personality: Friendly, curious, uncertain Hair: white and wild Height: 6ft3 General: Tall and thin with very pale skin and pure white hair. His eyes are dark in colour and often catch the light in unexpected ways, appearing to change very slightly until you look closer and think maybe you were imagining it. When settled in his clothing is likely to be casual, light blue jeans and a white open necked shirt.
In theory his appearance can vary but is unlikely to do so in general while in the real world. If anybody should ever encounter him in dream his appearance is likely to be different but we'll cross that bridge if we ever come to it. :)
Name: Adam Young Age: Early 20s Type of being: Anti-christ Personality: Friendly, fun loving and probably in this game exasperated a lot of the time. Hair: blonde and slightly curly and slightly messy... Height: 6ft 1in General: Adam has an aura about him that up close is almost palpable. It isn't immediately signified as power, but just as something special. His hair is shortish and blonde, forming an almost stylised scruffy mess on his head. He has bright blue eye that could be described as piercing if Adam didn't seem to be trying quite hard not to be piercing with them. His usual attire is casual, including jeans, combats, t-shirts, shirts and pretty much anything that seems comfortable.
Age: Old. He looks to be in his late twenties. Type of being: Norse God Description: Blonde, with a reddish tinge. straight hair, just brushing his shoulders; dark eyes; tall, but not usually so. He is a bit volatile, quick to take up new things, quick to lose interest. He likes having fun, and he personally doesn't mind a bit if it's at the expense of others. Loves fire, obviously.
Loki (II) can: - shapechange at will male/female Horse, Fly, Flea, Eagle and Salmon. - manipulate minds Only as far as pushing someone further into a direction s/he might have taken anyway but wasn't quite sure about yet. - feel/hear prayers, if they are directed at him personally and usually ignore them, too ;) - feel and sometimes identify supernatural activity He isn't familiar enough yet with most outside of his old pantheon to really identify it. - sense other supernatural beings He'll know they're there, not what they are - know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there Needs to be exposed to languages but learns them quickly and without any real effort on his part. - go without food, drink and sleep Though he may really be in trouble if he doesn't get his hands on a golden apple once every few thousand years. - not get blinded by very bright light Or he'd be in trouble too close by fire. - enter the realms (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of Norse religion in theory, at least it might be rather painful in practice, if hew as cuaght there by anyone who didn’t like him.
Loki (II) can not: - heal wounds and illnesses - go without using the toilet if he eats - inspire divine ecstasy - fly in a vacuum - bless objects - alter objects - summon objects - create objects out of thin air - raise the dead - self-heal - remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human - wish people away - read minds - see in the dark - set wards - see auras - enter heaven - enter hell - communicate with heaven - communicate with hell - communicate with realms of other religions - know occult languages (I think, unless he learned them like usual ones) - write the heavenly language(See above) - have the power of Creation - create energy shields - possess other beings - survive a lot of damage that might kill a human (unless he happened to have one of those apples in his pocket; which reminds me: he'll also age if without Idun's Golden Apples).
Additionally Loki (II) can: - control fire. Any type of fire. If he wants to. Which he usually doesn't. It's pretty and it's happy when it's free, so why control it? - Be close to / inside fire without being burned. - Perform sleight-of-hand tricks without really practising ()
Name: Rose Heerkens Age: She looks like seventeen or eighteen. Type of being: Werewolf () Description: A little bit smaller than the average human woman, sleekly muscled and with a deep tan. She has blue eyes and shoulder-length silver blond hair. Her palms are callused from running on four legs as a werewolf. In her fur-form, Rose is called Cloud. Her fur is white, her eyes are still blue. She likes to be outside, running, hunting, playing. She doesn't like cities and their stink.
Rose can - change her shape. She has two forms available: her two-legged form, Rose, and her four-legged form, Cloud. - move her body in ways humans can't In fur-form that's obvious, but it applies to her two-legged form as well. She has, for example, no problems with twisting enough to see her own bottom. - hear and smell extremely well She has those keen senses in both forms and is even able to identify moods/emotions by smell (not pinpoint them but get ideas like anger, jealousy, etc.). - be stronger, faster and more resilient than humans Well, not can be, but is. - survive inflicted damage longer than humans could Poison that would kill a human in seconds would take minutes or hours to kill her. - clean out infection or poison of wounds by changing form a few times With very potent poisons she'd still need an antidote, but this ability would give her more time to get to a doctor. - survive contact with silver without any problem (unless she's stabbed with a silver knife or shot with a silver bullet, but the silver wouldn't be the reason for the injury) - hunt in her fur-form Like every wolf or dog can.
Rose can not - change her shape while she wears clothes (any clothes! Even one sock or panties count.) - change into any other forms than Rose or Cloud - speak wer, the language of the werewolves - turn anyone into a werewolf. They're their own species, if they bite anyone it hurts and bleeds but nothing more. - survive deadly wounds She is stronger than humans but still mortal. - regrow any lost limbs or organs - draw reliable maps First, werewolves don't see exactly like humans would, though Rose is not colourblind like most wer. Second, they identify their surroundings more by smell and sound than by sight. - do magic of any kind or access divine powers of any kind - go without food, drink, sleep or using the toilet
Chosen Name: Jonathan Robie (Click for the long-winded name-related theorizing (http://excunningthief.livejournal.com/760.html))
Age: 37
Entity: Human
Appearance: A sturdily built man who cultivates an air of gravitas about him. Nimble and quick on his feet. He tends to three-piece suits (his signature look is of a grey pinstriped suit with a blue tie and black waistcoat, with the ubiquitous hat); as a general rule, they are well-tailored, rather old fashioned, and scrupulously neat. Trilby has arching eyebrows, a hooked nose, and sharp green eyes. His hair is straight, black, and just overgrown enough to be unkempt.
Other: Quote from the 6DAS filing cabinet: "highly skilled in locksmithy, safecracking, stealth and gymnastics; excellent knowledge of mechanical engineering." Most comfortable in very low light. If he's outdoors, chances are he'll have a slightly bulky blue umbrella with him, regardless of weather.

Name: Duncan McLeod Age: 400something (born 1592) Type of being: Immortal
- tall, black hair, relatively short now, but growing out again - superb swordfighter and martial arts specialist - Scottish accent when he's angry/upset - has been married only once (to a mortal Native American who was then killed by white bandits), though he has been involved with mortal women on and off. - his favorite sword is a katana. He carries it everywhere, usually hidden under a long coat.
Duncan can: - sense other supernatural beings He can sense other immortals by their Aura, identify ones he's familiar with. With others, he will sense their approximate age, or age category, and strength. - know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there He's had to learn them, but 400-odd years are a long time to travel to different places and get familiar with a lot of languages. - self-heal Any woulds to his body will heal without scarring within minutes. Small things, like a cut to the palm, will seal itself and heal within seconds of removing the knife. Injuries to the throat or neck would scar. - remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human The only way of killing him would be separating his head from his shoulders. Anything else will make him appear dead for a while while his body is regenerating, then he will revive.
Duncan can not: - heal wounds and illnesses on others - go without food, drink and sleep - go without using the toilet - inspire divine ecstasy - fly in a vacuum - summon hellfire - bless objects - alter objects - summon objects - create objects out of thin air - raise the dead - wish people away - read minds - see in the dark - not get blinded by very bright light - set wards - enter heaven - enter hell - enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion - communicate with heaven - communicate with hell - communicate with realms of other religions - write the heavenly language - have the power of Creation - create energy shields - possess other beings

He has been constantly practicing for 400 years, and every time he took a head he was given that immortal's skill and power in addition to his own. He'd be one hell of a fencing opponent, and probably unbeatable for anyone but Michael.

Joe plays the guitar and sings; as a cover for his watcher work, he has worked as a bookstore manager and run blues bars both in Seacouver and Paris.
(Full) Name: Artemis Fowl II Nickname(s) IC: Arty, clay boy What age they look: fifteen-ish Age they are: eighteen (technically) Type of being: Human (with fairy influence) Personality: Very intellectual and logical, arrogant towards those he sees as less intelligent, calculating, proud, selfish; is slowly developing a "decent" side Hair colour: black Texture: straight Length: short-ish Eye colour: one blue, one hazel Height: slightly shorter than average Build: slim, almost thin A favourite outfit: an Armani suit
The werewolves in Tanya Huff's book "Blood trail" aren't what most would expect. They aren't human, never have been human and will never be human. If they bite you, you hurt and you bleed but you don't turn into a werewolf yourself. They're a different species and they can turn into their 'fur-form' at will. Clothes stop the change, so the werewolves don't like clothes much but wear them in public. They look younger than they are and mature later than human. They are stronger, faster, more flexible and more resilient than humans. A poison that'd kill a human in seconds would take minutes or even hours to kill a werewolf. And werewolves can clean out infection or poison of wounds by changing form a few times. They have a legend concerning their origin. I cite from the book: [...]according to the oldest of their legends, they're the direct descendants of a she-wolf and the ancient god of the hunt.[...]That one's pretty much consistent throughout all the packs, although the name of the god changes from place to place. When the ancient Greek and Roman religions began to spread, the wer began calling themselves Diana's chosen, the hunting pack of the goddess. Christianity added the story of Lilith, Adam's first wife, who, when she left the garden, lay with the wolf God created on the fifth day and bore him children. The werewolves believe in the existence of different gods, they accept and respect them but don't worship them. The fur-form of these werewolves is mostly mistaken for a very very large dog with a wolf somewhere down its family tree. The fur has mostly the same colour as the hair of the two-legged form. Most werewolves are practically colourblind, and they're useless at drawing maps. But due to their sense of smell and hearing they'd never get lost (in fact, getting lost is a foreign concept to them). Silver in itself doesn't harm them, but they're mortal. Even in human form, they tend to react like wolves. If put under stress (intense joy, mourning, shock) they feel a need to howl. They growl if challenged. Showing too much teeth while smiling might be interpreted as a challenge. Werewolves don't mate with humans because humans don't smell right.
No one actually knows where these immortals come from. They are found as children, adopted by mortals and grow up quite normally, though immune to disease or infection, until their first death. After that they wake again and no longer age. Wounds heal quickly and without scarring, except for wounds at the neck/throat. They can only be killed if their heads are cut off. The Game refers to the process of immortals fighting elimination duels until only one is left standing. The Gathering refers to the effect that immortals feel driven to search out other immortals and challenge them. A Quickening is what happens when an immortal's head is cut off by another. That immortals memories and strength are transferred to the winner. A Dark Quickening is what happens when the killed immortal's personality overwhelms the winning immortal. This may happen both ways: Turning an evil person good or vice versa. Holy Ground, no matter the religion/belief it belongs to, is safe. Immortals do not fight on Holy Ground. It has been tried, and the effects of a Quickening there are devastating. See Pompeii.

We're currently especially looking for: Hastur, Ligur, Them and Odin, but as you can see there are lots of other characters still missing.
Cast of Characters
Heaven
Gabriel
Gabriel (cont.)
- travel to other realms more easily
- enter Hell
and demand safe passage and to be brought before Lucifer if he has a message to deliver
-can find people easily if he needs to for Official Business
However, if the person, like Adam or one of the Crowns, is exceptionally powerful they may be able to hide form him from a while.
Aziraphale
He looks pretty much exactly like
In addition to the usual angelic powers, Aziraphale can:
- most knowledgeable angel about Earth and Hell, but in return the weakest angel with the most supervision
- most familiar with the other gods/monsters/etc.
- knows every language except Welsh, and his Chinese is lacking
- can use a sword fairly well
- can hold his alcohol better than the others (without miracling it out of his blood)
Michael
On the outside, Michael is confident and charismatic with a pinch of smite-happy. On the inside, he's insecure like crazy and a bit neurotic. He can never sit still. He always, always, has his sword with him. And he hates spicy foods.
In addition to the usual angelic powers, Michael can:
- Michael is the Warrior, and thus he is the quintessential butt-kicker.
Hell
Baraq
Chosen Name: Barnaby Keele.
Apparent Age: Late twenties, early thirties.
In addition to the usual demonic powers, Baraq can:
- Experience with gods and entities of other faiths.
Others
Loki (I)
(Full) Name: Loki Laufeyson
Nickname(s) IC: Loki Lyesmith
What age they look: around 30
Age they are: 1.200
Type of being: God
Personality: mischievous, spontaneous, He's clever, but tends not to think things through completely.
Hair colour: red
Texture: straight
Length: very short
Eye colour: dark grey
Height: He's tall by human standards, but the shortest of the Norse gods.
Build: again lighter than the other Norse gods, not that that's saying much
Accessories: occasionally seen with a pack of playing cards
A favourite outfit: jeans and a t-shirt or a knit pullover, Odin might be the only one able to convince him of wearing a tie.
Loki (I) (cont.)
- shapechange at will
Into any animal he is familiar enough with to picture the whole body of clearly. The more familiar the animal, the easier the change. Too many changes will exhaust him.
- manipulate minds
It’s no magical power, though, he’s simply very convincing or confusing when he wants to be.
- feel/hear prayers, if they are directed at him personally
- feel and identify supernatural activity
The strength of the activity affects how long afterwards it can be felt. In case of supernatural activity of Norse origin he might be able to identify the caster. This is also possible with other supernaturals he is very familiar with/has seen casting this before.
- sense other supernatural beings
He can sense other supernatural beings to the extent that he knows they're supernatural. If he has met a being from the same religion before, he can notice a similarity and thus possibly identify the pantheon. He can also vaguely feel power levels.
- know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there
He’s had to learn them, though and can’t write the older ones.
- percieve Presence as some vaguely uncomfortable part of the feeling of a supernatural
This allows him to differentiate between angels and demons, though he doesn’t know what the feeling actually is.
Loki can not:
- heal wounds and illnesses
- go without food, drink and sleep
- go without using the toilet
- inspire divine ecstasy
- fly in a vacuum
- summon hellfire
- bless objects
- alter objects
- summon objects
- create objects out of thin air
- raise the dead
- self-heal
- remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human
- wish people away
- read minds
- see in the dark (unless his current shape can)
- not get blinded by very bright light
- set wards
- see auras
- enter heaven
- enter hell
- enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion
- communicate with heaven
- communicate with hell
- communicate with realms of other religions
- know occult languages (He could learn them, if someone were to teach him, though.)
- write the heavenly language( He could learn it, if someone were to teach him and had a lot of patience or he had a book to teach him, though.)
- have the power of Creation
- create energy shields
- possess other beings
Additionally Loki can:
- control fire (even to a very limited extent hellfire), if it isn’t already controlled by somebody else. He will lose control if he gets distracted, the fire is too big or he tires.
- survive a lot of damage that might kill a human. Like all Norse gods he’s pretty tough. If a human would have no chance to survive at all, though, Loki doesn’t either.
The Sphinx
Nickname(s) IC: Leandra Papadopoulos
What age they look: Unspecific. Maybe in her late twenties?
What age they are: Somewhat younger than most of the other Greek gods, but not by too much.
Type of being: Monster/Goddess
Personality: Enigmatic, playful, cruel and quick tempered, but still loyal to her friends.
Hair: Long, dark, almost always kept up and out of the way in a hair-do.
Eye colour: Brown
Height and build: She’s not too tall, and is slender and strong.
The Sphinx can:
-shapechange at will
She can only change shape from her sphinx shape to human, eagle, or lion shape and back again. She can’t go directly from one shape to another, though. Her eyes also always remain the same, and do not grand her any altered vision.
- manipulate minds
Not as a supernatural power, but she tends to try to mislead people with riddles, because she finds it fun.
- self-heal unless they are very badly injured
This is more like regeneration that is quicker than normal, and the Sphinx has no conscious control over it.
- feel and identify supernatural activity
She can sense it, in large quantities, but not really tell what it is, or even tell it's actually supernatural activity she's sensing.
- sense other supernatural beings
She can tell whether someone is mortal or not, but not really anything beyond that.
- know human languages, if they have learned them
- know occult languages, if she has learned them (I haven’t decided if she actually has.)
The Sphinx can not:
- heal wounds and illnesses
- go without food, drink and sleep infinitely
- go without using the toilet
- inspire divine ecstasy
- fly in a vacuum
- bless objects
- alter objects
- summon their own possessions
- create objects out of thin air
- raise the dead
- wish people away
- feel/hear prayers, if they are directed to them/in their jurisdiction
- read minds
- see in the dark better than humans
- not get blinded by very bright light
- set wards
- see auras
- enter heaven
- communicate with heaven
- communicate with realms of other religions
- write the heavenly language
- perceive Presence to different degrees depending on individual ability/sensitivity
- create energy shields
- possess other beings
- summon hellfire
- enter hell
- enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion
- communicate with hell
- use heavenly alphabet to create things (= this cannot be done at all)
- have the power of creation
- use the Norse rune-magic
Additionally the Sphinx can:
- Not get killed despite damage that would kill a human
Like all monsters, she’s tough.
- resist non-lethal damage and illness better than a human/animal would
- be stronger than her human/animal shape would suggest. ()
War
War can:
- feel and identify fighting and conflict.
- know human languages that are or were in use in countries when she lived there
- has a certain resistance to injury, though this is partly down to leet defensive skills
- as the entity/'idea', War will not die (unless all conflict is eradicated)
- her personification has a certain amount of invulverability, partly down to superfast reactions
- When she is working, the personification is as invulnerable as the entity/idea is.
War can not:
- shapechange at will
- manipulate minds (except by driving men to blind lust then leaving them to a barfight...)
- feel/hear prayers
- heal wounds and illnesses
- go without food, drink and sleep
- go without using the toilet
- inspire divine ecstasy
- fly in a vacuum
- summon hellfire
- bless objects
- alter objects
- summon objects
- create objects out of thin air
- raise the dead
- self-heal
- wish people away
- read minds
- see in the dark (unless wearing appropriate tech)
- not get blinded by very bright light
- set wards
- see auras
- enter heaven
- enter hell
- enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion
- communicate with heaven
- communicate with hell
- communicate with realms of other religions
- know occult languages
- write the heavenly language
- have the power of Creation
- create energy shields
- possess other beings (unless they are elephants or similar used in war... oh, you mean possess as in inhabit rather than own. She probably can't do that, even with elephants.)
Additionally War can:
- fight in any style ever mastered, and a few that aren't yet invented
- use any weapon ever invented
- survive a lot of damage that might kill a human. ()
Ishtar
Title/ Aliases: Lady of Nineveh, courtesan of the gods
Motto: sex, dugs and rock'n'roll
HP/Att/Def: mid/low/high
Occupation: goddess of prostitution. Madam. Businesswoman (in matters relating to the previous item in this list)
Appearance: Olive skin, green eyes, brown hair
Age: Never ask a lady her age, darling.
Personality: hedonistic, self serving but still kind hearted.
Special skills: cocktail waitressing, sex, blending intoxicants into new and exciting forms.
Residences: Turkey, Nevadah, Amsterdam, London
Relationships: Single (with many friends with benefits). No really.
Ishtar can:
- Procure, mix, blend and create (by hand and using her pet international drugs consortium) almost any drug/medical preparation known to man or god.
- control people and supernatural beings/ implant suggestions (depending on their power levels) through a combination of sex appeal and pheremones
- Wander happily in and out of the realms of most ancient middle-eastern religions
- speak Akkadian, Sumerian, Babylonian, Hittite, Latin, Arabic, Hebrew and enough in most modern European languages to be able to order a drink.

Additionally Ishtar can:
- roll hallucenogenic cigarettes
- tie cherry stalks in a knot with her tongue
- Chain smoke without getting cigarette-breath
Daniel
Apparent Age: Hard to tell but probably 30ish?
Actual Age: As old as time in some ways, no older than a baby in others...
Type of being: Anthropomorphic personification
Personality: Friendly, curious, uncertain
Hair: white and wild
Height: 6ft3
General: Tall and thin with very pale skin and pure white hair.
Adam Young
Age: Early 20s
Type of being: Anti-christ
Personality: Friendly, fun loving and probably in this game exasperated a lot of the time.
Hair: blonde and slightly curly and slightly messy...
Height: 6ft 1in
General: Adam has an aura about him that up close is almost palpable.
Loki (II)
Type of being: Norse God
Description: Blonde, with a reddish tinge. straight hair, just brushing his shoulders; dark eyes; tall, but not usually so. He is a bit volatile, quick to take up new things, quick to lose interest. He likes having fun, and he personally doesn't mind a bit if it's at the expense of others. Loves fire, obviously.
Loki (II) can:
- shapechange at will
male/female
Horse, Fly, Flea, Eagle and Salmon.
- manipulate minds
Only as far as pushing someone further into a direction s/he might have taken anyway but wasn't quite sure about yet.
- feel/hear prayers, if they are directed at him personally
and usually ignore them, too ;)
- feel and sometimes identify supernatural activity
He isn't familiar enough yet with most outside of his old pantheon to really identify it.
- sense other supernatural beings
He'll know they're there, not what they are
- know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there
Needs to be exposed to languages but learns them quickly and without any real effort on his part.
- go without food, drink and sleep
Though he may really be in trouble if he doesn't get his hands on a golden apple once every few thousand years.
- not get blinded by very bright light
Or he'd be in trouble too close by fire.
- enter the realms (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of Norse religion
in theory, at least it might be rather painful in practice, if hew as cuaght there by anyone who didn’t like him.
Loki (II) can not:
- heal wounds and illnesses
- go without using the toilet if he eats
- inspire divine ecstasy
- fly in a vacuum
- bless objects
- alter objects
- summon objects
- create objects out of thin air
- raise the dead
- self-heal
- remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human
- wish people away
- read minds
- see in the dark
- set wards
- see auras
- enter heaven
- enter hell
- communicate with heaven
- communicate with hell
- communicate with realms of other religions
- know occult languages (I think, unless he learned them like usual ones)
- write the heavenly language(See above)
- have the power of Creation
- create energy shields
- possess other beings
- survive a lot of damage that might kill a human (unless he happened to have one of those apples in his pocket; which reminds me: he'll also age if without Idun's Golden Apples).
Additionally Loki (II) can:
- control fire. Any type of fire. If he wants to. Which he usually doesn't. It's pretty and it's happy when it's free, so why control it?
- Be close to / inside fire without being burned.
- Perform sleight-of-hand tricks without really practising ()
Rose Heerkens
Age: She looks like seventeen or eighteen.
Type of being: Werewolf
()
Description:
A little bit smaller than the average human woman, sleekly muscled and with a deep tan.
Rose can
- change her shape.
She has two forms available: her two-legged form, Rose, and her four-legged form, Cloud.
- move her body in ways humans can't
In fur-form that's obvious, but it applies to her two-legged form as well. She has, for example, no problems with twisting enough to see her own bottom.
- hear and smell extremely well
She has those keen senses in both forms and is even able to identify moods/emotions by smell (not pinpoint them but get ideas like anger, jealousy, etc.).
- be stronger, faster and more resilient than humans
Well, not can be, but is.
- survive inflicted damage longer than humans could
Poison that would kill a human in seconds would take minutes or hours to kill her.
- clean out infection or poison of wounds by changing form a few times
With very potent poisons she'd still need an antidote, but this ability would give her more time to get to a doctor.
- survive contact with silver without any problem (unless she's stabbed with a silver knife or shot with a silver bullet, but the silver wouldn't be the reason for the injury)
- hunt in her fur-form
Like every wolf or dog can.
Rose can not
- change her shape while she wears clothes (any clothes! Even one sock or panties count.)
- change into any other forms than Rose or Cloud
- speak wer, the language of the werewolves
- turn anyone into a werewolf.
They're their own species, if they bite anyone it hurts and bleeds but nothing more.
- survive deadly wounds
She is stronger than humans but still mortal.
- regrow any lost limbs or organs
- draw reliable maps
First, werewolves don't see exactly like humans would, though Rose is not colourblind like most wer. Second, they identify their surroundings more by smell and sound than by sight.
- do magic of any kind or access divine powers of any kind
- go without food, drink, sleep or using the toilet
Trilby
Chosen Name: Jonathan Robie
(Click for the long-winded name-related theorizing (http://excunningthief.livejournal.com/760.html))
Trilby can:
- detect levels of magic, via the magenta stone
- summon, banish, or trap spirits or denizens of the Ethereal Realm, via rituals
- pick locks and sabotage most security devices
- climb buildings/walls/similar with the grappling hook
- walk stealthily and hide in shadows, within human capability
Trilby can not:
- use any magic or sense supernatural activity unaided
Duncan McLeod
Age: 400something (born 1592)
Type of being: Immortal
- tall, black hair, relatively short now, but growing out again
- superb swordfighter and martial arts specialist
- Scottish accent when he's angry/upset
- has been married only once (to a mortal Native American who was then killed by white bandits), though he has been involved with mortal women on and off.
- his favorite sword is a katana. He carries it everywhere, usually hidden under a long coat.
Duncan can:
- sense other supernatural beings
He can sense other immortals by their Aura, identify ones he's familiar with. With others, he will sense their approximate age, or age category, and strength.
- know human languages that are or were in use in countries when he lived there
He's had to learn them, but 400-odd years are a long time to travel to different places and get familiar with a lot of languages.
- self-heal
Any woulds to his body will heal without scarring within minutes. Small things, like a cut to the palm, will seal itself and heal within seconds of removing the knife. Injuries to the throat or neck would scar.
- remain corporated despite damage that would kill a human
The only way of killing him would be separating his head from his shoulders. Anything else will make him appear dead for a while while his body is regenerating, then he will revive.
Duncan can not:
- heal wounds and illnesses on others
- go without food, drink and sleep
- go without using the toilet
- inspire divine ecstasy
- fly in a vacuum
- summon hellfire
- bless objects
- alter objects
- summon objects
- create objects out of thin air
- raise the dead
- wish people away
- read minds
- see in the dark
- not get blinded by very bright light
- set wards
- enter heaven
- enter hell
- enter the realm (afterlife/seat of gods/underworld) of another religion
- communicate with heaven
- communicate with hell
- communicate with realms of other religions
- write the heavenly language
- have the power of Creation
- create energy shields
- possess other beings
Additionally Duncan can:
- Duncan excels at using various weapons (different swords and other blades, axes, etc.) and different types of martial arts. He has been constantly practicing for 400 years, and every time he took a head he was given that immortal's skill and power in addition to his own. He'd be one hell of a fencing opponent, and probably unbeatable for anyone but Michael.

Information that may come in useful
Tanya Huff's Werewolves
I cite from the book:
[...]according to the oldest of their legends, they're the direct descendants of a she-wolf and the ancient god of the hunt.[...]That one's pretty much consistent throughout all the packs, although the name of the god changes from place to place.
On Immortals and the Game
