What age they are: Somewhat younger than most of the other Greek gods, but not by too much. Type of being: Monster/Goddess Personality: Enigmatic, playful, cruel and quick tempered, but still loyal to her friends. Hair: Long, dark, almost always kept up and out of the way in a hair-do. Eye colour: Brown Height and build: She’s not too tall, and is slender and strong. Accessories: Some jewellery. She may occasionally carry a bone around, though, if she wants to be scary. A favourite outfit: Anything that looks elegant and is golden or red. Anything else? Being a shape shifter, the Sphinx also has other forms. In her sphinx form she has the head of a woman, the body of a lion and the wings of an eagle. Her coloration is yellow/brown. Her eagle shape resembles the golden eagle. Her lioness shape is slightly bigger than the average lioness, but not otherwise specific. She always retains her human-like eyes, no matter what shape she is in. Short history: Born into a family of monster-like gods, she was relatively happy until her grandfather Typhon plotted the overthrow Zeus. Typhon was imprisoned, and the rest of the monsters were left to be killed by various heroes. Not too keen on dying, the Sphinx fled her hero rather that staying to fight. She’s been travelling around Africa and Europe ever since, trying to avoid the Olympian gods and any other would-be heroes. Lately she has been trying to figure out how to free Typhon, her only still living relative, but she has had no luck so far.

The Sphinx can: -shapechange at will She can only change shape from her sphinx shape to human, eagle, or lion shape and back again. She can’t go directly from one shape to another, though. Her eyes also always remain the same, and do not grand her any altered vision. - manipulate minds Not as a supernatural power, but she tends to try to mislead people with riddles, because she finds it fun. - self-heal unless they are very badly injured This is more like regeneration that is quicker than normal, and the Sphinx has no conscious control over it. - feel and identify supernatural activity She can sense it, in large quantities, but not really tell what it is, or even tell it's actually supernatural activity she's sensing. - sense other supernatural beings She can tell whether someone is mortal or not, but not really anything beyond that. - know human languages, if they have learned them - know occult languages, if she has learned them (I haven’t decided if she actually has.)
